Welcome!

Hello!  So glad you're here!

This is a place where all things decluttering, organizing, minimizing, downsizing, rightsizing, and joy-sparking are welcome.

If you are a long-time reader of my previous decluttering blog, then this is a happy reunion!  Hello old friend!

If this is your first time discovering this blog and are wondering what the fuss is about, then welcome new friend!

I have been a student of decluttering since 1988 when I stumbled upon Don Aslett's Clutter's Last Stand (Writer's Digest, 1984).  Don is the grandfather of the decluttering movement, and his book changed my life (no lie).

Previously a keeper of too much and too many of everything that marginally interested me, after studying Don's book, I transformed into an organizing force that eventually lead to a streamlined life, numerous presentations and public lectures, a couple of self-published books, and my own professional organizing company.

Fast forward thirty years from that infamous day I found Don's book.

I no longer make my living helping people declutter and organize; instead, I help people via psychotherapy.  I am a partner in a group practice, and I love helping people release unnecessary burdens emotionally and mentally.

It's decluttering and organizing on the mental plane.

And I still love all things declutter-y and organize-y on the physical plane too.

So I asked myself today, "Why not keep on writing about all things declutter-y and organize-y?"

And so, here I am.  And here YOU are!

Reunions and new beginnings are simply wonderful!
